After listening to our older students, we are launching this new group specifically designed with you in mind. You asked, we listened and here it is!

SYTeens will be an exciting place for teenagers to discover the world of theatre and performance whilst having fun and making new friends. They will delve into different playwrights, learn the discipline of working with scripts. Build their repertoire by studying the techniques of different theatre practitioners such as Stanislavski, Alexander Technique, Brecht, Artaud and MUCH more…

Lead by SYTs Artistic Director Mitch Jenkins and his wealth of career knowledge, SYTeen classes will provide drama school preparation and in-depth audition practice for those students wishing to pursue a career. We are also excited to announce that guest directors and practitioners working within the industry will be invited to take classes throughout the term.

All of this exciting work will culminate in one annual production at Easter, we realise the extra pressure of school and exams as our students hit their teens and so SYTeen has tried to be accommodating to this.
